TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE


In These Terms & Conditions Riviera Events Is Referred To As "WE" or "Our" or "Us"

The Customer / You Are Referred To As "The Hirer" or "Your" or "You"


These instructions are intended to help all users have a fun time, and ensure their safety. Please read and follow the safety and hire instructions listed.


1. Bookings will only be accepted with a £30 booking fee. This fee will be deducted from your final payment due on the date of your booking. This is a non-refundable fee. Upon verification of your booking fee payment, a confirmation email will be sent to you. Please check this carefully and let us know if anything needs to be corrected or amended. By paying the booking fee you confirm that you have read and understood the terms and condition of hire set out below and answered all questions on the booking form truthfully.


2. The balance of the payment for hire must be received by cash/bank transfer or card payment before the equipment is set up on the day.


3. If for any reason you have to cancel your booking the booking fee is non-refundable, however at our discretion we will consider transferring it to another booking for a date within 14 days of the original hire date and subject to our availability.


4. If you cancel your booking with less than 48 hours notice before the event, the full balance will become payable at our discretion.


5. If for any reason you need to change or make amendments to your booking we reserve the right to charge you a £10 administration fee.


6. If you book and ignore any website messages or deliberately answer any questions wrong (as in limited availability and to call before booking, surface/location etc.) then a £10 administration fee will be deducted from any refunds of your booking fee.


7. Riviera Events will not accept responsibility for circumstances beyond our control which means we may have to cancel or rearrange your booking, for example, freezing conditions, floods, high winds, rain, road closures, vehicle breakdown, pandemics, etc. If your booking is outdoors and we cannot operate legally I.E. the wind gust forecast is above the legal limits then your booking fee will be moved onto a future booking at our discretion.


8. Indoor bookings take priority over outdoor bookings as in such If your inflatable is booked to be used in a hall the day after your booking then we reserve the right to change your bouncy castle and supply you with an alternative if it is due to rain on the day of your hire or the grounds are wet/muddy from any rain and weather conditions leading up to the day of your booking. You will be given the opportunity to move your booking to an indoor venue of your choice.


9. We will need approximately 30 minutes to set up the equipment and the same to pack away and remove equipment. Please take this into account when booking venue times. Please leave or allow adequate parking space for delivery and collection times. Please make sure a parking space is available outside the venue/your home for our vehicle at delivery & collection.


10. We only deliver and set up inflatables/hire items in a suitably accessible sized safe, level surface space and we will not be responsible for removing furniture/etc. (Space and surface requirements are listed on our website for each product) If the area is not big enough or suitable safe access for the hire items to be set up, or not as described on the booking form then we will be unable to leave the hire items and the booking fee will not be refunded and the full balance will become payable.


11. We will require an electric power point within a distance of 25 meters if the booking is outside.


12. Once the inflatable has been installed and set up this is where it must stay, the inflatable must NOT be moved once we leave. When setting up the inflatable/hire items we conduct a full risk assessment to ensure the safety of the intended users, this may result in the equipment being placed in a position that is not how you would prefer but needs to be to ensure the safe use of the equipment.


13. If safety barriers are needed, it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are in place and All First Aid equipment is the responsibility and supplied by the hirer.


14. Hire items are hired to the customer on the understanding that they will be returned in an undamaged condition. If any damage is incurred during the booking, please advise us and we will arrange for the cleaning/repair of any hire items. Any cost for repairs, cleaning and or loss of earnings will be invoiced to you accordingly.

We take pictures of every set up to protect ourselves and you for any discrepancies.


15. Please ensure that the children are supervised at all times using any of the inflatable/hire items by a responsible person that is deemed capable of exercising control over children by the hirer, they must be present and supervising at all times while the equipment is in operation and Must be 18 years or over. The hirer takes full responsibility for the children using the inflatable/hire items; Riviera Events accepts no liability for damage or injuries whilst the equipment is on hire due to lack of supervision and ignoring the safety instructions of use.


16. No food or drink is to be allowed on or near the inflatable/hire items to avoid choking or injury to the children along with mess or damage to the hire items (please note if the hire items are collected in a dirty condition then the person hiring them will incur a cleaning charge of £25 per hour).


17. No water saturation devices including water pistols, water bombs, hose pipes are to be used on or near the equipment under any circumstances, if so will the hirer will incur extra charge to cover for the loss of hire, cleaning & drying times.


18. No smoking, vaping, barbecues, forms of heat or flames near or on the any of the inflatables or hire items..


19. The hirer is responsible at all times for the behaviour and safety of the users using the hire items. (Safety instructions for use are given to you at the time of set up).


20. If the inflatable/hire items have an age/user height limit please ensure no-one over this age/height uses the inflatable/hire items (Age/height limits are listed on each inflatable and will also be advised at time of set up).


21. All shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges MUST be removed before using the inflatable/hire items. No pets, toys, face-paints, silly string, party poppers, confetti, confetti balloons, anything messy or sharp instruments are allowed nearby or on the inflatable/hire items.


22. Climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls of the inflatable/s is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed. Always ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of the users using it as per the safety instructions given and listed on the inflatable.


23. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step of the inflatable as a child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users in getting on or off.


24. Children must be playing in a suitable manner and not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others, if so they should be removed from the inflatable or hire items.


25. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that Children are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately for the equipment and nothing in their pockets. We would recommend long trousers or leggings for anything with a slide feature.


26. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure the area around the equipment remains clear from objects that users could come into contact with whilst exiting the equipment, and that any safety matting provided is maintained in the same position it was set up in.


27. The inflatable/s should not be used if they becomes wet on the jumping area. If a shower cover is not fitted, in the event of rain, the unit should not be used and all users asked to get off until the inflatable has become dry.


28. It is the responsibility of the hirer that in the event of wind gust speed reaching or forecast to reach 24MPH the inflatable MUST Not be used as Stated in BSEN14960 And Must Be Switched Off until such time the wind gust and forecast has fallen below the legal gust speed of 24 MPH.


29. Anyone with a history of back, neck or head problems, suspected to be pregnant, feeling unwell or have a condition which could result in a complication from the use of the inflatable/hire items must not use the inflatable/hire items at all.


30. In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately and make sure the blower tube or deflation tube has not come undone or something has not blown onto and is obstructing the blower inlet. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later and it should restart. If it does not, inform us straight away.


31. We must be advised as soon as possible in the event of any injury requiring medical treatment. Treatment must be sought immediately after the injury occurs and a detailed record of the incident and treatment must be provided to us, any incidents must be reported to us with in 24 hours of the occurrence.


32. We will not be responsible for any breach in these terms and conditions beyond our reasonable control.


33. Equipment must not be sub-hired to any other person/s or companies whilst on hire from Us unless previously arranged and agreed with us.


DISCLAIMER: IMPORTANT NOTICE Provided that the inflatable and or hire items are used in accordance with the above guidelines and conditions of hire, those using the inflatable and or hire items should do so safely. However, accidents can happen, Riviera Events can accept no liability for injuries sustained or any other loss, howsoever caused, in the absence of the negligence of Riviera Events or its employees. As the equipment will be in the hirers possession and control whilst in use rather than Riviera Events, any liability for injuries or other losses caused other than in the circumstances described above rests with the hirer. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that the hirer has adequate public liability insurance covering his or her liability arising from the use of the inflatable and any other hire items hired.

I DECLARE that I have read and understand these terms and conditions of hire and any relevant operating and safety instructions supplied with the equipment, and I pay the booking fee and sign the contract fully aware of the implications and responsibilities placed upon me by doing so. I have received a copy of the terms and conditions. Please note that all persons using the inflatable and or hire items do so at their own risk. The person/organisation hiring the inflatable and or hire items will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using the inflatable and or hire items, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Riviera Events cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using the inflatable and or hire items provided by Riviera Events.
